Mrs. Burris arrives in a few hours. It'll be so fun to have a guest in our room tonight. She hasn't seen our room since August 2007 when she dropped Veronica off for our freshman year. We have perfected it's look and are excited to share it with her.
My mom gave me the update on what next weekend will look like. It'll be an interesting Thanksgiving without dad and with grandpa's new family. We'll see, but I've been praying for God to fill me up with love for everyone I will be around. I haven't had the strength to muster up love for people lately, so I'm confident he will give it to me. Thursday we will have thanksgiving at grandpa's new daughter's house, Friday I will spend time with my cousins, and saturday is the wedding! The last wedding I went to was Lisa Cristea's (aka Hebert). This wedding will be a little different.
It's been almost three years since grandma died. I'm glad that grandpa will have a companion again. Chances are I will cry, because my heart is still grieved by the fact that I never really got to know my grandma. She started getting sick when I was about 10 and by the time I actually cared about who she was she didn't know who I was. Grandpa was an amazing husband to her and I know, since he is pretty experienced now, he will be a great husband to Margy.
