Most of you may know that I LOVE to travel. Since summer of 2003, I have taken multiple trips to Europe, camps, Hawaii, Seattle, Nashville, Walnut Creek, etc. etc. My travels have been more than just landscapes and sightseeing, however. The relationships I have made over the years during these travels are why I continue to crave adventure and seeing new places. Seattle was so amazing this summer. Being able to get to know my Uncle in a way that most nieces never have the chance to was such a blessing and I really miss Kailyn's counsel and advice on everyday scenarios. Why is it that we can grow to love people after only spending a week or two with them? My three trips to Romania would each end in tears with children I had only spent 5 days with. This is a very biblical concept, however, and Paul often fell in love with the churches that he ministered with. In Philippians 4 Paul refers to the church as his joy and his crown, whom he longed for and loved so much. We were created to be quick to love, after all, God has loved us long before we ever thought of loving him!
