After reading the last post from August of last year I can't help but smile. I am in Seattle, back in action and ready for a summer of working, homework, friendships, and enjoying every second of being here. It's been a long year of waiting, wondering, wishing, and now to see how God has been faithful to me this year has been amazing. I am going to try and use this blog to update you on what I am doing with myself up here in Seattle. haha Let's hope I can pull through past tendencies to stick with a blog for more than one day.
A quick story from the road trip up here. As we were about an hour out of Seattle we drove under a walking bridge on the 5. On top of the bridge was a woman, right at the edge, looking over all the cars. It wasn't until we got closer that I realized she was standing there with the sole purpose of waving an American flag at all the cars. How appropriate since it was Memorial Day, right? She waved this flag with a pride I have never seen from a lady of her age. The way she waved the flag was the best part: long, fluid waves from left to right so the flag could really get a taste of the wind. AND she followed the flag with her head from left to right with each graceful wave, never taking her eyes off the flag. Maybe you had to be there :)
